Acceptable use
VarSage is provided to help analyze genomic variant data for research and clinical workflows. Do not use the software for any activity that violates applicable laws or patient privacy regulations. The maintainers are not responsible for clinical decisions made based on results from this tool.
Data handling
By default VarSage runs locally and processes data on the host machine. The application stores temporary session data and may persist reports or exports to the local file system. Users are responsible for securing any sensitive data they load into the application and for complying with local policies regarding patient data.
Third-party components
The project bundles and references third-party datasets and libraries (HPO, RefSeq/Ensembl mappings, etc.). These components have their own licenses and attribution requirements; consult the repository README and data files for details.
Security
VarSage is intended for use on trusted machines or within secure environments. Avoid exposing the local web interface to untrusted networks. If you need to run the service on a shared host, use appropriate network controls and authentication.
Support & updates
Bug reports and feature requests should be filed in the project's issue tracker. Security vulnerabilities can be reported privately via the contact methods listed on the Contact page.
Disclaimer
The software is provided "as-is" without warranties. The maintainers disclaim liability for damages arising from use of the tool.
